Pay Rule - Grace Setup

Here is where you will fill out you company information in ClockView.

This screen allows you to set your employee's punches to round automatically. This function makes it easier to calculate and view your payroll. You can set your employees' time to show up in 5-, 10- and 15-minute increments.

Grace Period: Setting a grace period allows employees to punch outside of their accepted schedule but within the company's allowance without creating an exception comment. Any transaction that is outside of the employees' configured schedule but within the configured grace will not appear as an exception (e.g. early, late) in the schedule. You also have the option to configure the software to automatically round punches according to the grace period.

Shift In: All information boxes directly below this apply only to the first punch of the day (the employee's in punch) according to the employee's default or weekly schedule.

Shift Out: All information boxes directly below this apply only to the last punch of the day (the employee's out punch) according to the employee's default or weekly schedule.

Break In: All information boxes directly below this apply only to break start punches on the employee's break schedule.

Break Out: All information boxes directly below this apply only to break stop punches on the employee's break schedule.

The setting - Absent if there is NO In punch within X hours from Scheduled IN: If a value is entered, an employee is shown to be absent for the day if they do not punch in within the set number of hours after their scheduled start time. For example; entering 2 in this field allows the employee to be two hours late. If they punch in after the two hours, they are still considered abscent for the day.

Lunch Grace: This value sets the grace period for all break punches – their starts and stops, whether early or late.
