Pay Rules - Overtime Setup

Here is where you will configure how ClockVIEW handles

overtime schedules.

Use the "ADD MORE" button to create a new overtime policy. You will have five fields to complete. The following table shows you what each fieldname is, as well as an explination for what each fields function is for.

Field Name

Fields Use

Pay Rule Name

Assign a name to the rule which make sense, for example: 2nd Shift OT

OT1 Hours Per Day

Enter the number of hours, if exceeded will accumulate overtime on a daily basis. To disable this field, enter the max hours in a day or 24:00.

OT2 Hours Per Day

The same holds true for this field as it does for OT1. Set this to a different number of hours than OT1. Hours which exceed this number per day are considered OT2. To disable this field enter 24.00.

OT1 Hours Per Week

This should be set to the maximum number of hours that can be worked in one work week without earning overtime.  Any hours worked past this total will be considered overtime. This assumes OT1 and OT2 are disabled. To disable this field, enter 168.00 or the maximum hours that can be worked in a week (7 x 24).

OT2 Hours Per Week

Again this fields functions as OT1 Hour Per Week, and should be set to a different number of hours to be counted as OT2. Entering 168.00 will disable this field.

These values will be used by payroll by exporting the data and calulating pay. The report function allows the exportation to several formats, including Microsoft© Excel©. There is where the overtime rate will be calculated.
