How do I use the Minor Rules screen?
The Minor Rules screen allows you to set days and times when minors (employees under 18 years old) are allowed to work according to both government and company policy.
To access this screen, select the Minor Rules from the Configure menu.
The Minor Rules screen includes the following items:
School Rules: |
The time and number of hours for minors are allowed to work on school days. The school schedule is configured in the school rule screen. |
No School Rules: |
The time and number of hours for minors are allowed to work on days within out of school duration. The no school schedule is configured in the no school rule screen. |
Maximum Day Hours: |
The maximum hours a minor of the given age can work in a day. |
Maximum Week Hours: |
The maximum hours a minor of the given age can work in a week. |
Earliest Permissible Time: |
The earliest time for which a minor of the given age can be scheduled to start their shift. |
Latest Permissible Time: |
The latest time for which a minor of the given age can be scheduled to end their shift. |
Saturday is never a school day: |
The system will never use the school rules on a Saturday. |
Sunday is never a school day: |
The system will never use the school rules on a Sunday. |
• Make the desired changes in the school or no school rules
• Click on the Update button to save the changes.
