Explanation:

The Time Off Requests screen allows the user to make requests for time off from work.  

The user can also view their available benefit amounts and allocate available benefit time towards time off, if desired.  

The  Time Off Requests screen can be accessed by selecting  Time Off Requests from the Employee menu.


Time Off Request Fields:

Benefits:

This drop-down box will display the accrued benefit totals of the for selected employee .  

Start:

Select the date of the earliest time entry you wish to view.

Stop:

Once you have selected a start date this date is immediately filled in. The span between the start and stop dates will be equal to one pay period as defined in the configure company screen.

Employee:

This field shows the employee name.

Show:

This field allows the user to view requests in a pay period either by the date submitted or by the date the employee has requested to take off.

Status:

This drop-down box allows the user to filter results of time off requests by selecting any of the fallowing options as desired :

All/Pending/Approved/ Rejected)

Pay Type:

This drop-down box allows the user to filter results of time off requests by selection the desired option from Pay Type drop down list.

Refresh:

Updates the screen after changing the start and stop dates and filter options.

Add New Request:

When pressed, this opens up a blank time off request grid .

Update:

Submits the request.

Time Off Request Grid Fields:

Date From:

The date the employee would like to start their time off.

Date Thru:

The date the employee would like to finish taking their time off.  

Hours per Day:

The amount of benefit hours the user would like to use per day off.

Type:

The type of benefit time you would like to use towards time off being requested.

Date Submitted:

The date the request was submitted.

Status:

This displays the status of the time off request.

Status Date:

The date the status of the request was last changed.

Status by:

The user that changed the status of a request.

Note:

This field is used to add specifics regarding the time off request.

Response:

This field is used to respond why a request was allowed or rejected.


Making a Time Off Request:
       Click on the Add New Request button.
       The screen will populate and present a blank entry in the grid.
       Enter desired dates for time off.
       Enter  the no. of hours per day that you would like to use of available benefit time.
       Select the type of benefit time you would like to use towards time off.
       If required, enter in additional information in the Note field.
       Click on the update button to submit the request for approval.
