How do I use the Time Off Approvals screen?

Explanation:

The Time Off Approvals screen allows supervisors or management to approve or reject Time Off Requests appeal made by employees.  

The Time Off Approvals screen can be accessed by selecting  Time Off Approvals from the Employee menu.

Time Off Approval Fields:

Benefits:

This drop-down box will display the accrued benefit totals of the employee selected.  

Start:

Select the date of the earliest time entry you want to view.

Stop:

Once you have selected a start date this date is immediately filled in. The span between the start and stop dates will be equal to one pay period as defined in the configure company screen.

Employee:

This field shows the employee name.

Approve All:

When clicked, all requests for the current employee and time period will be approved.

Show:

This field allows the user to view requests in a pay period by choosing any of the following options from the list:

the date submitted /by the date requested /All Future requests.

Status:

This drop-down box allows the user to filter results of time off requests by choosing any option from status drop down . (All, Pending, Approved, Rejected)

Pay Type:

This drop-down box allows the user to filter results of time off requests by selecting the option from the Pay Type drop down.

Refresh:

Upon click on Refresh icon the screen get updated as per the changes made in  the start/stop dates and filter options selected.

Time Off Approval Grid Fields:

Employee:

Shows employee name.

Date From:

The date the user would like to start their time off.

Date Thru:

The date the user would like to finish taking their time off.  

Hours per Day:

The amount of benefit hours the user would like to use per day off.

Type:

The type of benefit time being requested during time off.

Date Submitted:

The date the request was submitted.

Status:

This drop-down box allows the user to approve or reject a request.

Status Date:

The date the status of the request was last changed.

Note:

This field is used to add additional information regarding the time off request.

Response:

This field is used to respond why a request was allowed or rejected.


Updating the Status of a Time Off Request:

When logging into Shift View, the home screen will indicate if there is any Time Off Requests have been made by employees.

       Clicking on the link from the homepage will land you onto the Time Off Approval screen.
       Review each request made by employees.
       Select Approved or Rejected from the Status drop-down box.
       Click on the green arrow button to submit the status of the request.
       Repeat these steps for each request made.
